choriflay

choriflay - sweet, something entertaining, a novelty (I've heard this used only once, but I rather liked it, so I've included it.) Okay, so I've just found the definition of choriflay in el Diccionario de Modismos Chilenos.

Uuh. Qué bonita la polera¡ Es choriflay¡

Ooh. What a pretty shirt! It's sweet!

sinonimos - bakán, bacán, la raja

My host sis says this ALL the time. Her nickname is Pochi... so she also says PochiFly as a joke.

ooh. I like your host sis's expression, PochiFlay. (I think it would be spelled with an "a", like cachay.) Unluckily, HeatherFlay and ClareFlay don't have the same ring to them. hahaha. But I am going to start using choriflay more often.

Choriflái or choriflay was a word used in the 1950's. Papelucho used it all the time.

jejejeje. I need to read Papelucho.
