A sort of word-of-the-day log of definitions of typical Chilean words and expressions as well as other words and expressions in Spanish.
The name of this blog comes from a t-shirt my folks bought in New York in 2003 as a joke for our Chilean exchange student. It had a picture of the Statue of Liberty and beneath that, it said "Welcome to America. Now speak English."
Feel free to correct my Spanish (as well as my English). I speak pretty well, but not perfectly.

I love this blog. The books that have been published on Chilean slang are sometimes out of date.
The funny thing is that one of my students used this very term today when speaking to me after class. Perfect timing.
